The EU digital COVID certificate allows you to travel between member states of the European Union. It also allows you to access certain establishments in Catalonia, such as those of nightlife. Starting December 3 it will be required as well to access the following spaces:
- Bar and restaurant interiors
- Gyms
- Nursing homes
- Dancing halls
Possible questions about the certificate:
- Certificate types:
Vaccination certificate: valid for 1 year after the last dose
Recovery certificate: valid for 6 months
Negative diagnostic test: 48 hours for antigen tests and 72-hours for PCR tests.
- Age: in order to travel, the certificate will be mandatory for everyone 12 and older. To enter specific places in Catalonia the certificate is mandatory for everyone 13 and older.
- In terraces: in outdoor areas the certificate is not mandatory, nor to enter the establishment in order to pay or to go to the toilet.
- Certificate verification: verificacovid.gencat.cat
- Issuance of the certificate: it can be downloaded to the mobile phone or printed from La Meva Salut webpage.
- Certificate information: The establishment will only be able to see if the certificate is valid or not, without any other personal information.
